In a tiny little town called Tabor City, NC, there is an award winning RV camp that just epitomizes RV Freedom. I have friends with an RV and have been invited to join them several times on their weekend excursions. What a fun time! While I will never give up tent camping, I definitely have learned the value of a quality RV campsite! Yogi Bear’s Campground, for example, gives you a lake to fish in, fields and woods for the kids to run around in, pools and more!
Having your own RV definitely is a whole new kind of freedom! Whether you are a weekend getaway type of person, or want to become a true nomad, this is where to begin your journey!
But if you are new to the whole RV lifestyle, you probably have tons of questions!
What type of license do you need to drive it? Where can you dump your septic? Where are the best parks or places to get parts? It can be overwhelming, but don’t let it stop you from the next big adventure in your life! I don’t know about you, but I like to have lists so I can check things off. If you feel the same way, here is a great RV Checklist for you!
My husband and I are planning this purchase sometime in the (not too distant, I hope!) future, and I found a couple of great resources that might serve you well.
www.rvresources.com is a good place to start. I am not getting anything for promoting them, I just thought it was a great site!
This site has links to RV Dealers, Repair Shops, Advice and Guides, and even RV Parks for Sale! They also have links to Discount Camping Clubs, services for your RV, like internet and Satellite TV, and storage facilities and places to camp. Some of everything, really!
Another site I found is www.thewanderingrv.com/rv-resources/. This couple, Bill and Kayla, blog about their adventures and experiences since they started their RV lifestyle, and have a light style and some great tips!
Are you dreaming of a Full-Time RV Lifestyle?
Why not go for it? Stop dreaming and live your dreams!
Have a life of adventure on the open road! With an RV, whether you rent or buy, you can really be flexible with your travel schedule, and don’t have to worry about whether there will be any vacancies at your destination, because you are driving your home!
Your pets are always welcome and you can stay or go whenever you want!
Where have you been, so far? Where do you want to go next? One more resource I have found can be explored here, and I definitely recommend this one! It will keep you safe on the road and give a lot more detail than a mere map can do!
Oh… if you are an RV’er, and want to keep on rolling, but not really able to retire, why not take your work on the road? You can earn part time or full time incomes anywhere you can get an internet connection, so you need to check this out! On my menu to the left, there is a category page titled Employment and Jobs. There are several ways there that you can make money online! My Personal favorite is Blogging with Rory, which is linked to that page, or you can click here to get more details!
