Sometimes it is not too late to learn from the past. Our modern world is really dependent on government services, and even private services like doctors and grocery stores. But what if you woke up in the morning to chaos, and those things were not available? The Lost Ways by Claude Davis gives some really great ideas on how to survive. He describes in detail how the old folks used to do it. To them, it was daily life.
But to us it just might be life or death.
I recommend The Lost Ways by Claude Davis to help answer your survival questions! The possibility of waking up to chaos sometime soon is all too real! Between civil unrest in this country, and a growing lack of tolerance with each other, and the fact that American involvement in other parts of the planet is not always appreciated, it is a real concern! Therefore, as Mr. Davis advocates, we must prepare!
Mr. Davis has come out with a sequel to The Lost Ways. Simply titled The Lost Ways 2, and you can get it here!
Personally, I feel like there is no such thing as being too prepared. Unfortunately, I am no where near being adequately prepared.
But my husband and I have some advantages.
We know that pine trees are actually edible, and that eating dandelion flowers will treat headaches. How many people these days know that? I don’t want to eat a pine tree, but if I got hungry enough! Just saying!
I grew up in the country. I know food doesn’t just magically appear at the store. It started out a living, growing thing. Be it a cow or a potato. And I also learned to be frugal, and creative. However, Claude Davis teaches so much more. Imagine that the resources you always utilized are gone! What do you tell your family? They depend on you!
I am not an alarmist. I am a happy person, who believes most people are good. But you can see that our world is shifting. Better to be prepared. In other words, prepare for the worst and hope for the best!
A crisis may never hit you.
You might not live in a flood zone, or Tornado Alley. Great! But what if cyber attackers manage to knock out the power and communication grids? Or more terrorist attacks cripple our resources? In these cases, you can avoid panic if you know what to do. Or at least where to start. Educating yourself is an act of love for your family. And also very smart.
There are ways to prepare food and save it without modern appliances to keep it cool. And there are foods and medicines all around us that are disguised as weeds. In his works, Claude Davis introduces us to those Lost Ways. He learned many things from his family, as he grew up. We are lucky that he paid attention!
And I wish I had! My grand parents are all gone. It is too late to learn more from them. But, I know that some of the things Claude Davis writes of, are things they would have shared. If I had asked.
Here is easy access to information that could save your family in crisis. You don’t need to miss out.
