Truth. Who is going to believe there is such a thing as Keto friendly cookies? All anyone ever hears about on Keto is fat and protein! I have found it is an effective way to lose weight, for sure. If you can get through that initial craving period and don’t cheat, you definitely will lose weight and feel better.
Most of the time, since starting Keto, I don’t have any real cravings. I have thoughts. But not obsessive ones, if you know what I mean. And now that I found these Keto Friendly Cookies, I can drop the guilt over that, too!
The first week on Keto was difficult. You really Can be addicted to Sugar and Flour. As Dr. Susan Pierce Thompson points out when she talks about her Bright Line Eating way of life–they are white powdery substances that make you feel good, just like cocaine or heroine. Maybe their damage is not as dramatic or immediate, but they can definitely harm you, if you are not careful!
While I have not adopted her way of eating (which is not Keto, but it really sensible and works for many people), I love to listen to Susan when she records a Vlog, because she is smart, funny, down to earth, and has some really intelligent thoughts on our world and our struggles in life.
But still…sometimes you just want something different. Whether it is nostalgia or just a hankering for some variety, it is nice to know there is finally a tasty, truly healthy keto friendly COOKIE, that will enhance your day with healthy ingredients, not sabotage your health and weight loss goals!!
These Keto Friendly Cookies are perfect! Chocolate Chip, Shortbread, or one of their other delicious flavors will keep me on track!
These are made with clean ingredients, so you can feel good about eating them and sharing them with loved ones. Or not. But renting a box at the UPS store would be the only way I could get these past my family!!
Now, I have been reading recipes and toying with making my own, but I really don’t have time these days. So my almond flour is tucked away in the freezer, biding its time. These cookies have almonds, tiger nuts and also hazelnuts, so it delivers plenty of fat and protein, as well as fiber. They actually check the boxes for Paleo diets as well, and vegetarian, but not Vegan. This is because they don’t have dairy, but they do have eggs. They are sweetened with apple, and with monk fruit, which I use all the time! No bitter taste like you can get with Stevia, just sweetness.
I do think these are pricey, but to have something to tuck away in your desk drawer for that occasional…thought, would be great! Just like a plan B! If Plan A is to resist all snacks and sweets, but you are getting tempted, then Plan B is to have a healthy and delicious alternative that won’t derail you!!
In fact, if you read about how these cookies were developed, it was due to the founder’s own unhealthy struggle with food. She finally came to understand how important what we eat is, and developed truly healthy alternatives to all those temptingly packaged time bombs in the cookie aisle!
There are several different flavors to choose from, or you can get a variety pack with some of each. And you can even have a cookie subscription that will save you money! Have you noticed that you can get a subscription to just about anything these days? I actually have a subscription for my monk fruit sweetener!
